I am personally going to Ukraine in order to bring physical and concrete humanitarian aid to the drama that is unfolding at this very moment: I therefore seek the support to encourage the will. For personal and family reasons: I will only be leaving in 3-4 weeks.

The money will be used to ensure the complete logistics of my trip from France to Ukraine; the rest will be reversed in complete transparency to serious associations working on site.

In order to answer any questions you may have:

• Who am I ? Victor DESBOIS, born in Dinan (22) in Brittany, 32 years old, ex-military (and therefore trained), professional adventure guide.

• How much would you like to raise? As much as possible, since the final sum will be donated to a SERIOUS and RECOGNIZED Humanitarian Association. I will only take a tiny part of it to cover my travel expenses to Ukraine.

• Do you think you're Rambo? A hero? Do you have something to prove? Is it unconscious? This initiative is the combination of personal ideological and moral convictions. I do not pretend to want to change the course of history, but simply to bring my stone to the building in a concrete way. Any initiative is good to take when it comes to hindering the actions of a violent dictator.

• I do not support this initiative. I can completely understand. Nobody is forcing you into anything. Everyone is free to think, just as everyone is free to act according to their modest means.

• Will I get back the money I gave? No. This money will be spent on miscellaneous costs, equipment and/or logistics. The rest will be donated to a serious and recognized association.

• And we have to take your word for it? Trust you? Yes. But since trust does not exclude control: I will personally communicate to donors the statements and proof of ALL expenses and/or MOVEMENTS made thanks to the kitty: your money.

• What are you going to do there, concretely? I am going there to provide physical humanitarian and/or war aid. The goal is not to get killed or to stir up air but to offer a work force and my practical skills. I am actually a soldier by training but only plan, at first, to provide logistical assistance and not to go to the front.

• And you have a plan? Contacts? A network? Yes. The three. I will be supported by Ukrainian friends who have taken up arms, as soon as I arrive in Poland. They are aware of my arrival and very enthusiastic about the help we can all give them. The French and Ukrainian embassies will obviously be duly informed of my movements.

• Is it possible to join you? No. The initiative is quite commendable but I cannot allow myself to take people under my responsibility, because I do not wish to lead anyone into a dangerous and/or risky situation. The best way to help is to support me financially. I don't hire anyone.

• What if the conflict is over in 3 weeks? THIS WILL BE THE BEST NEWS. That's what we all hope for. The entire kitty will then be donated to a serious and recognized association working on the spot to welcome refugees and/or rebuild the country, mine clearance, medical aid... I will obviously consult the donors so that the money raised is used in the most efficient and intelligent way possible.
